We have recently received notification from Skills IQ that there is a training package change proposed for the SIS Fitness courses offered across Australia, which will directly affect the courses offered at PT National. This will included changes to the SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness, SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness, and proposal for the removal of the SIS50215 Diploma of Fitness altogether

Very little has changed in bodybuilding training principles since my time as Mr Australia. Besides the development of resistance training equipment and supplementation, the fundamentals are built on the FITT principle including Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type of training. Within this includes the rest between sets, cadence of repetitions performed, training split, volume of training load, and order of exercises performed.

On September 3 this year, Service Skills Australia endorsed the new Sport Fitness & Recreation Training Package. The new training package has significant changes that will be sure to impact the learner, the future client and the fitness industry as a whole.
