Exercise Physiology (EP) is a university qualified allied health professional who utilise their expertise in anatomy, physiology and exercise to tailor appropriate training regimes for individuals suffering from chronic conditions. I have always had a passion for sports, constantly playing or being involved. After a severe injury sustained when I was younger, I was unable to continue playing competitively. However, I still wished to remain amongst the industry in some capacity.

As fitness professionals our role in supporting client’s achieve their health and fitness goals is to be able to better understand their behavioural patterns in maintaining exercise adherence. There are a number of tools that can be used to further understand the personality traits of clients. Examples may include Myers-Briggs, DISC profiling, or 5 love languages.
As an exercise therapist I raise awareness. I cannot count the number of clients that I treat who need to be educated on correct sleeping positions and how their sleeping position in turn affects poor biomechanics and causes pain throughout their given day.
